Chole a 2 year old and young dog ran out of the house and was hit by
Car. She was taken to Emergency clinic by the owner Carrie Lee of
Carbondale PA. Carrie was informed that Chloe has fractured Pelvis and
Fractured and displaced Humerus a long bone in the (fore leg)arm. Owner was told that it will cost about $ 3000 dollars to fix the problem.
In this depressed economy it was very difficult to come up with much
amount at once. It was informed to owner that if surgery not done then
Chloe will die due to infection in her bones.
Owner could not afford the surgery took dog home and asked for help to people. It took three weeks when a local animal organization "Tracey's Hope" learnt about the dog with fractured bones. This organization raised very small amount of money for Chloe.
Chloe, Owner and the Tracey's Hope called Pittston Animal Hospital and
Asked if we can work with small amount. Of course and indeed was the Answer from this hospital.
On arrival Chloe had fever, Infection set in bones and had seizure. We treated all above condition and placed rod in Chloe's leg which will be Removed in 4 to 6 weeks.
Chloe went home fractured were repaired, no more seizure and no more infection. It is my pleasure to help the community where I practice(Kathio).
